Chamber break pressure (crp) are small structures; its main function is to reduce the hydrostatic pressure to zero or to the local atmosphere; generating a new water level and creating a pressure zone within the working limits of the pipes; there are 2 types; for the conduction line and the distribution network. when there is a lot of unevenness between the catchment and some points along the conduction line; Pressures higher than the maximum that a pipe can withstand can be generated. in that situation; it is necessary to build pressure-breaking chambers that allow energy to be dissipated and the relative pressure to be reduced to zero (atmospheric pressure); in order to avoid damage to the pipeline. these structures allow the use of lower class pipes; considerably reducing costs in drinking water supply works.
