The main objective of this project is to analyze and design a multi-story building (two-dimensional reinforced concrete frame); the design of reinforced concrete slabs; beams columns footings and stairs were made by hand, according to the automatic code, and the results were compared with autocad. to design; it is important to first obtain the plan of the particular building that it is; positioning of the particular rooms (living room, bedroom, kitchen bathroom, etc.) so that they fulfill their respective purpose and also suit the requirements and comfort of the inhabitants. maximum floor area = (21.9 * 40.9) m2. each floor consists of twelve offices. we use autocad programs to complete the architectural design; The design process of structural planning and layout requires not only imagination and conceptual thinking, but also a sound understanding of structural engineering science in addition to knowledge of practicalities; such as recent design codes; goodbye laws; backed by extensive experience; intuition and judgement. the purpose of standards is to ensure and improve safety; maintaining a careful balance between economy and safety. for the design of columns and beams; it is necessary to know the moments to which they are subject. the slab design depends on whether it is a one-way or two-way slab; final conditions and load. of the slabs; loads are transferred to the beam. after that; the loads (mainly shear) of the beams are taken by the columns. finally; sections must be verified by all four components with respect to strength and serviceability. the analysis of the frames of multi-storey buildings involves many complications and tedious calculations by conventional methods by hand. Carrying out such analysis is a time consuming task. this project deals with many computer programs to help us complete the job. Excel programs were designed to calculate the moments in slabs using method two with interpolations to factors and loads in beams with moments and design and reinforcement section. this program is more effective for analyzing the two-way slab; between a number of variables related to the type of slab and the dimension of the beam and columns and the expected applied load. then the program calculated the combination load to be applied on the frame; and then check the thickness of the slab with the cutting limitation. then the program divided the slab into several frames in both vertical and horizontal directions; and calculate the moment of details for each part of the span; and then calculate the area of ​​steel required for each moment. This study is divided into seventh chapters:? the first chapter presents the introduction on buildings and multi-story slabs; beams columns footing etc. the second chapter contains load types on the structure. ? the third chapter presents the design calculations of the slab and the drawing of the building. ? the fourth chapter presents the floor beam design calculations. ? the fifth chapter presents the column and footing design calculations. ? the sixth chapter presents the design calculations of the staircase. ?
