Plant and elevation royal palm physical characteristics foliage: parasol-shaped crown; foliage formed by erect leaves (the upper ones) and pendulous leaves (the lower ones) trunk: straight; columnar; clean; smooth; light gray at the bottom and light green at the end where the leaves are born. root: branched and deep. leaves: persistent; pinnate from 2 to 3 m. long; composed of very numerous leaflets; dark green colour. flowers: monoecious; little; white; they don't stand out. fruit: ovoid; little ones; violet color; arranged in clusters without ornamental interest.
