Part of the conveyor belt of the Cajamarquilla refinery located 20 kilometers east of the city of Lima; near the town of chosica. It is the main refinery of its type in the country; and one of the most important in the world. Zinc concentrates from the large number of mines in Peru are refined there; among them lime; junín and pasco. One of the processes for refining concentrate corresponds to the zinc leaching process whose objectives are: to dissolve the zinc contained in the product of the roasting step (calcine); in a solution of sulfuric acid (spent electrolyte)
